REVIEW: I have been waiting for this book since I read Boyfriend Bargain back in 2019!! I was so excited that it was coming, and it releases on my birthday, which I felt like is a total sign. It was actually a lot deeper than I thought it was gonna be, but I really loved it. While both of these characters have dealt with so much, they come from such different backgrounds. It’s amazing to see them grow throughout the story. One thing I love about Ilsa Madden-Mills’ books, is the character development and how much I enjoy the characters themselves. I sincerely love that Julia and Eric get their second chance. I also love the happy ending of this one so very much.
Something else I enjoyed about this one is that it kind of highlights how we think we know people when we’re younger, but we don’t really know them as well as we think we do. That as we grow, and learn more about people and their experiences, we start to realize why they behave in certain ways. Not that understanding excuses certain behaviors, but often times in this book it’s the perfect example of what really understanding someone and loving someone unconditionally looks like. I am so happy that we finally got Eric’s story!
