SYNOPSIS: Someone is watching me. Luckily my mountain man is watching over me.
Hope: I didn’t think they would find me here. I moved to the small town of Whiskey River three months ago, hoping I would finally be safe from my past. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I can breathe easier. Then I meet the mountain man who makes my breath quicken. And my heart race. He’s my protector – safe in his strong arms. But my past is coming for me… and he might end up paying the price.
Cash: The tracks along the treeline were my first clue. I might not have experience with women, but I know my way around the woods. And Hope is not safe living out here alone. And I’m pretty sure that’s my fault. Her stalker knows I have money, and that I’ll pay any price to keep the woman I love safe from harm. But what her stalker doesn’t know is that I plan on making them pay instead.
REVIEW: First of all, can we discuss this cover?! Yes, please, take me to the lake sir. I have liked the vibe of the covers on this series, but this one is by far my favorite–surprising with no abs, I know! Anyway, there is an on-going theme in this series of men embody some very masculine traits, yet wouldn’t meet all the expectations set by society of a man. It’s the perfect juxtaposition to make an intriguing male character that you need to know all about. I love that the men are protective of the women they meet. I love that the romantic suspense side pulls you in, and that the crazy/idiotic ex’s are shown whose boss. I feel like I kind of know what I’m getting with these books, and that is perfect for my mood at times. I hope you enjoy these characters as I did!
Included in this box set is: Sexy Filthy Boss, Dirty Flirty Enemy, Wild Steamy Hook-Up, and Rock, Paper, Santa
Sexy Filthy Boss (White Collar Brothers #1)
Synopsis: He’s the sexy alpha male in the corner office who goes through assistants faster than free donuts in the breakroom. I’m the assistant who was chosen to cover for his last fire. The owner of the company is clear—hook the biggest client in our firm’s history and there’s a partnership for him and a promotion for me. Stipulation—we do it together. It doesn’t take a tarot card-reading psychic to figure out where our story is headed… late nights, trips out of town, and more than a few awkward moments filled with sexual tension. No worries though. I pride myself on my willpower. I can totally ignore his sexy grin, his rock-hard body and his dreamy brown eyes. I will not become the woman other women hate. But it turns out that Enzo Mancini has a lot of layers and if I don’t stop peeling, I’m going to lose everything, including my dignity.
Anyone up for a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors? Just don’t ask Enzo to play for you! Haha. This book was a wonderful surprise. It’s not your average falling-for-the-boss story. There are realistic, current issues about a woman moving up in a male-dominated field that added depth to the story I wasn’t expecting. Annie can be timid, but she can totally hold her own at the same time. Enzo’s Character development was absolutely amazing and not what I thought it would be. The camaraderie between the brothers was full of great banter, and I’m really excited to get Dom and Carm’s stories. Not to mention their sister, Blanca, seems like a spitfire that I must know more about. I’m so very excited for this series. It’s going to be so much fun witnessing the fall of all the Mancini brothers!
Dirty Flirty Enemy (White Collar Brothers #2)
Synopsis: He’s the arrogant Manhattan realtor with billboards advertising his six-pack more than his expertise in negotiations. I’m the competing broker who stupidly moved across the hall from his office. From day one, I’ve been his sworn enemy. Okay, so I might have accidentally stolen one of his clients. Well, is it stealing if the client comes to me? Even our vicious banter and loathing gazes can’t hide the chemistry between us. Who can blame me? He has enough charisma to make every hot-blooded woman in the city melt with a single word. Just when I think a mutual respect could be born between us, the biggest developer in the city offers us an opportunity that pits us against each other. Time to forget Carmelo Mancini’s dreamy eyes and tight abs. Game on.
Piper Rayne. Seriously, how do they keep writing stories that just suck me right in and give me all the feels?! I loved this enemies to lovers story so damn much. Bella is recovering from a trauma that has her carving out her own independent way of life. Carm is just baffled by his brother Enzo falling head over heels in love with Annie (Sexy Filthy Boss review here), and just does not think it will happen to him. You know what’s going to happen when they get thrown together, but Piper Rayne does such a wonderful job at still making the story so intriguing! I just needed to know what their journey was going to throw at them. I read this in one sitting, and loved every single moment. It gets so steamy and Carm can actually be a total book boyfriend qualifier, despite his rocky start. I DEFINITELY recommend this book, this series, and really this author duo!!!
Wild Steamy Hook-Up (White Collar Brothers #3)
Synopsis: It was never my plan to wake up in a Vegas hotel room as Dominic Mancini’s WIFE. The man has brought me nothing but heartache since I was sixteen. At least we agree on one thing—a quickie annulment and we can both get on with our lives. I can go back to teaching little girls to dance and he can go back to making millions on Wall Street. But sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas. It follows you right into an ambush by your Italian Mamas who deliver Oscar-worthy performances when heaping on the guilt. So, we do what any good Italian kids would do. We secretly agree to pretend to give marriage a try. But our easy solution morphs into a convoluted mess and leaves us wondering–is it safe to bet on each other.
Dom’s story was pretty much what I thought it would be! There were times where I wanted to shake the crap out of him and Val. I mean dear lord. But that is what I love about Piper Rayne books, they elicit so much emotion in me. I want to strangle the main characters while still rooting for them at the same time. It’s damn genius. This slow burn was perfection, there is just something about two characters that have a ton of history, yet can’t get it together! As per usual with Piper Rayne books, I would definitely recommend this romance read!!
Rock, Paper, Santa (White Collar Brothers #3.5)
In this ensemble cast holiday novella the competition between the brothers is still at an all-time high. Join the Mancini’s and their lady loves at the Santa Run in Central Park and attend a swanky fundraiser afterward.

SYNOPSIS: Gavin Leonard is the worst. He lives in the best party house off campus at Valley U, overrun by jocks galore. I live next door, watching Jane Austen adaptations with my sketchbook in hand. He stays on his side of the fence. I stay on mine. Now we’re accidentally on a camping trip together, but there’s only one tent left.
Gavin Leonard is the worst. And he’s the last guy who broke my heart.

REVIEW: I knew once I met Violet and Gavin in the first book that I was going to be totally invested in their story. While some of their negative history is usually a no-go for me, I don’t pass up a Rebecca Jenshak book. Also, I just had a good feeling about them and the whole situation. I enjoyed seeing these two get past the bad things that happened. I loved their interactions, and I loved how things unfolded. While we don’t get the best first impression of Gavin in the previous book, he proves himself over and over throughout this one. I loved Violet’s obsession with Jane Austin and how that played into their interactions. Seriously, this book was so freaking adorable and I’m so glad I got my hands on it! I highlighted so many quotes and parts of this book, because of all the different emotions they made me feel. There’s just a connection to characters that experience realistic feelings and situations that hits the spot. I can’t wait for the next books in this amazing series!!

Synopsis: I’ve known every kind of pain. Of the heart. Of the body. Of the soul. All I want now is the freedom that comes from making my art.
The last thing I expected was Hollywood royalty to waltz into my gallery in a small town in the middle of nowhere and see me.
A man like Boden Cavanaugh shouldn’t understand me. Shouldn’t be able to soothe my most ragged edges. Even worse, he makes me want the one thing I can’t have. Him.
All it takes is one spark, and friendship catches flame. But as our attraction burns bright, there are forces desperate to send us back into the darkness. And they’ve already killed before…
Shattered Sea, a sexy, suspenseful, small town romance from USA Today bestselling author Catherine Cowles, is out now!
He was the last person she expected to fall for…
Review: Once again Catherine Cowles has me staying up way past my bedtime, because I have to know what happens in one of her stories. Seriously, I could not put this one down once I started it. I absolutely adore the connection between Boden & Laiken, their back stories, and how they connected through the pain and loss that they’ve endured. I enjoyed seeing them get to know each other, become friends, and watching their relationship grow into more. Catherine Cowles is one of the only authors that can get me to not only read, but actually love a slow burn. The way she pairs the slow burn with romantic suspense makes me so invested in the story as a whole. Not to mention, her characters are so amazing that I’m also fully invested in the characters themselves. Something I find fascinating, is that there’s a lot going on in this book, and yet somehow, she makes it not seem so over the top, but instead kind of realistic.
This whole series has been absolutely amazing and I have been dying for the next book. Shiloh has been a huge presence in all of the series, but also a complete mystery at the same time. I’m really looking forward to getting her story. What I’ve been most curious about is how Catherine Cowles has set up her story with Ramsey who has been even more mysterious than Shiloh. Although, we finally get a little look at Ramsey in this book, and I am absolutely in love! I cannot wait to learn more about him as a character. There’s just something about the way Catherine Cowles writes her characters that has me absolutely 100% in and needing to know what happens to them in every single book. It is so fun seeing the group of friends and family from previous books in the present book, it just adds so much to the reading experience overall. I love this series and I cannot recommend it enough! The countdown is on to Fractured Sky coming October 25th!!

The way Boden’s muscles tightened told me the little he’d shared was only the tip of the iceberg. That tension called to me, and I reached out, kneading the flesh along his shoulders. His head fell to my own shoulder, and he sighed. “I’ll only let you do that forever.”
I chuckled. “I do have the magic touch.”
“You could be making millions with those hands.”
“I only use them on very special recipients. They aren’t for sale.”
Boden straightened, but as he did, he came closer. Our faces were close. Lips just a breath away. The urge to lean forward, to know what he felt like, tasted like, was strong. Boden’s hand skated up my arm to my neck to tangle in my hair. I knew that Boden Cavanaugh was more than dangerous. But like a moth to a flame, I kept getting closer.
While Shattered Sea is a stand-alone, you can still binge the first three books in the swoony & suspenseful small town romance series now!
Book 3: Hidden Waters – Roommates to Lovers – Damaged Hero with Secrets – Heroine trying to escape her past
Check out the Wrecked Series (one of my other Catherine Cowles favs)!
Writer of words. Drinker of Diet Cokes. Lover of all things cute and furry, especially her dog. Catherine has had her nose in a book since the time she could read and finally decided to write down some of her own stories. When she’s not writing she can be found exploring her home state of Oregon, listening to true crime podcasts, or searching for her next book boyfriend.
SYNOPSIS: Maddox Nelson is the only boy I’ve ever loved. And the only one to break my heart. I thought I was over that long ago. After drowning the heartbreak in two failed marriages, I should want safe and easy, and Maddox is nothing but complicated. Now that I’m back home in Savannah, I can’t deny the pull toward him. He’s the grumpy to my sunshine, the introvert to my extrovert, the uncompromising to my go with the flow. But years of friendship, love, and tangled lust binds us together in the city where it all began. When heat flies between us, he makes it clear that we already had our chance. Both of us should move on. Except I’m no longer okay with that idea. I’ll prove to him that I come second to none.
First love can’t come second. A stand alone second chance grumpy sunshine romance about Josie & Maddox.
REVIEW: K.A. Linde puts grumpy/sunshine and best friend’s brother into this wonderful read. Oh, did I mention there is a small town and a great friends group? I was all in for this one. Not to mention, readers meet Maddox and Josie in the previous books of the series, Hold the Forever and At First Hate, and the anticipation of their story was at an all time high before it even came out! I just loved the angst, the pining, the way these two struggled to get it right. Josie was one of those characters I wanted to shake some sense into, but her childhood experiences didn’t make her equipped to deal with the seriousness of their relationship. Seeing these two grow and overcome the hurt, was so satisfying!
