SYNOPSIS: For one night of my life, I dared to do something reckless. My birthday. A bar. Karaoke. And a man so hot he could melt the sun. Sparks flew. Lust took over. For one night of my life, I felt alive. Then I was back to my “boring” life. Career-driven. Goal-oriented. Always planning ahead. But nothing could have prepared me for the positive pregnancy test. We weren’t that reckless. There goes my “boring” life. And what happens when I tell the father?
REVIEW: I want to preface my review by saying that accidental pregnancy is one of my all time favorite tropes and that is why I picked this one up. It’s also been a while since I really disliked a book, but I found this plot to be over the top. I also sincerely disliked the male character, as he was always making decisions for the female lead. Personally, the ending was not a happy one for me either. The whole story just made me irritated and unhappy. I can say a lot more, but I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, because you may very well be intrigued by this one.

SYNOPSIS: Can you pinpoint a time in your life where you realized you are completely and utterly screwed?
I can. I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes.
I was traded. Yeah, that phone call.
Traded from my long time team of over ten years. And not just to any team, but my childhood rivals; the Chicago Rebels.
Completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns.
I met a girl. Natalie. Man, she’s perfect.
I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. Too complicated. But can you believe I have zero restraint when it comes to this girl? I couldn’t get her out of my head and the more I talked to her, the more I realized I needed her in my life.
So what’s the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can’t stop crushing on, yeah . . . she’s married.
At least, that’s what I was told . . .
REVIEW: Okay, so I thoroughly enjoyed the first part of this book! The misunderstanding and how the characters kept getting thrown together, add in a vacation and some force proximity with a loyal man and I was all in. I know that a lack of communication due to fear or nerves usually propels a story along, but this one just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. And when the big fight happened I was mad at both characters and didn’t like how it was all blamed on one. Despite all that, I really wanted to know what happened and it was interesting to read about the affects the whole situation had on Cory. The side characters, who are from previous books, also brought a lot to the story!

SYNOPSIS: Jacob Esera, star rugby player and young single father, has worked hard to create a joyous life for his six-year-old daughter. After the death of his childhood sweetheart soon after their daughter’s birth, all Jake wants is safety and stability. No risks. No wild chances. And especially no Juliet Nelisi, former classmate, scandal magnet, and a woman who is a thorn in his side.
As a lonely teenager, Juliet embraced her bad-girl reputation as a shield against loneliness and rejection. Years later, having kicked a cheating sports-star ex to the curb, she has a prestigious job and loyal friends—and wants nothing to do with sportsmen. The last thing she expects is the fire that ignites between her and the stuffed-shirt golden boy who once loved her best friend.
Straitlaced Jacob Esera versus wild-at-heart Juliet Nelisi? Place your bets.
I loved this story. It was so emotional and everything I wanted. The connection both characters have goes way back, but not in a romantic way, which adds so much to the story. I love seeing their friendship and feelings grow. Juliet’s family life and first marriage were not the best and it has a big impact on how she interacts Jacob–who comes from an amazing family, but with a tragic first love story. I will definitely be reading all of the Nalini Singh books the involving Jacob Esera’s family (the Hard Play series and the Rock Kiss series).

It was a war he couldn’t win and to save his family he turned consort for the Fae Queen. Fionn escaped as the thing he once despised, and the people he loved betrayed him for it. Now, centuries later, it’s time to reopen the gates to Faerie to take his revenge against the Faerie Queen.
At sixteen Rose Kelly discovered family secrets that changed her forever. Years after, she’s still lost, traveling across Europe in search of that elusive missing ‘something’. When she’s attacked by a vampire, not only is she wrenched into a supernatural underworld she never knew existed, a knock on the head releases a spell on her mind and unlocks powers beyond her wildest imaginings. And with them more questions. Questions Fionn Mór claims to have answers to.
Following the powerful and enigmatic Fionn to Ireland, Rose quickly realizes she’s a pawn in his plan for vengeance. What begins as a passionate battle of wills leads to an inexplicable but undeniable connection. One that will force them to face an impossible choice between the deepest love… and the darkest revenge.
I sincerely loved the first book in this series, War of Hearts! And now we have the second book in the True Immortality Series. If you love enemies-to-lovers and paranormal romance, this one is for you. It can even be read as a standalone! The overall story is very interesting and I’m excited to get to the next books. The premise of this series plays into why both books have similar plot lines, which also made this book not as enthralling as the first. It kind of felt the like reading the same book over again. Also, Fionn is super stubborn and intent on his revenge, which got a little old for me. All that being said, I still wanted to know what happened, and I’m still really looking forward to the next book! Especially since the first book was so damn good.
SYNOPSIS: It was just supposed to be one night. No kissing. No feelings. A wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am tangle in the sheets and we go our own ways. Only it’s a small town, and I was bound to run into the irresistible Porter Jones again.
I just didn’t expect it to be at my job interview…which he’s conducting. Now the live-in nanny to his adorable seven-year-old daughter, I’m doing my best to avoid falling for his charms. Except it’s much harder than either of us anticipated. What’s a few romps between friends? No kissing. No feelings. Just fun.Sounds simple, right?
Nanny romance anyone? This was a cute addition to the Slice Series! First of all, anytime there is a single dad, you can sing me right up. Then there is the fact that I really enjoy Teagan Hunter’s books, and I was all in. There’s some great chemistry in this one, and I absolutely loved Kyrie (Porter’s daughter), she’s a little spitfire! Some laughs and lots of sexual tension. This was such a fun read!

SYNOPSIS: The rich and popular Sharks rule at prestigious, ivy-covered Camden Prep. Once upon a time, I wanted to be part of their world—until one of them destroyed me. The last thing I expected was an anonymous love letter from one of them. Please. I hate every one of those rich jerks for what they did to me. The question is, which Shark is my secret admirer: Knox, the scarred quarterback and their leader, Dane, his twin brother, or Chance, the ex who dumped me…
Your eyes are the color of the Caribbean Sea.</del> That’s stupid.
What I really mean is, you look at me and I feel something REAL. It’s been ten months since you were here, but I can’t forget you. I’ve missed seeing you walk down the hall. I’ve missed you cheering at my football games. I’ve missed the smell of your hair. The truth is, I wanted you back then—but you had him.And then everything fell apart that night.Don’t hate me because I’m a Shark. I just want to make you mine.
REVIEW: I’ve read almost every single one of Ilsa Madden-Mills’ books, so I had a feeling I would like this one. TALK ABOUT DARK AND MESSY CHARACTERS. I freakin’ loved them. If you’ve ever read my reviews, you may notice I have a soft spot of characters that have endured some trauma in their past. Which means these two main characters were all up in the feels for me. It starts really dark, and stays that way for a while. Luckily, Ava is a fierce female lead. I loved her journey throughout this book and the male love interest is just so enticing. There are a couple dirty scenes in this one that really speak to the strong connection these two have. The angst, the back and forth, the tear-jerk moments all make this book an emotional rollercoaster and I loved it. The only reason I wouldn’t give a full 5 stars is a personal preference. The ending just wasn’t my kind of ending, but you’ll have to read to see how you feel about it. If you like dark romances, I think you’ll enjoy this one tremendously!

SYNOPSIS: Walking away from Sam Rutherford was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It’s been five years since that day, and I’ve given up on looking for love. My focus is on my career. And it’s paid off—I’m successfully managing the reelection for the mayor of New York City. Then Sam walks into my office as the new legal counsel. Which means I have to see him every single day from now until November. We vow to remain professional, but it’s a small office. The sly glances and his blistering charm are unavoidable. It all feels so familiar. Too comfortable. After what happened the first time…I should know better. If I’m not careful, he’ll break my heart all over again.
And I don’t know if I can survive Sam a second time.
REVIEW: K. A. Linde was a new to me author, and I am so, so happy I found her. This book was exactly what I want in an adult romance. The author’s own experience on a campaign added so much to the storyline. It just felt real and there was so much emotion! The characters are so human. Gah. I could NOT put it down. If you like second chance romance, you need to read this one! AND I’m SO FREAKIN’ EXCITED for the sequel to this one. I just know it’s going to be as amazing as this one.
