Tutoring the Player by Rebecca Jenshak

5 STARS!!!

Release Date: March 29, 2022

SYNOPSIS: I have a type. I love the good guy. Responsible and stable. Safe. So when a beer-drinking, quick-witted, tattooed hockey player asks me to tutor him, I’m suddenly thrust into the world of bad boys and bad decisions. Jordan is a renowned player on campus. He doesn’t take anything seriously, except hockey and partying. But he gives me butterflies.
I’m a wallflower tutoring Valley University’s hottest player.

This is the first book in the new Campus Wallflowers series by Rebecca Jenshak!!

REVIEW: THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. I loved how Daisy and Jordan’s friendship grew. How they slowly learned more about each other and their assumptions were slowly proven wrong. I loved how Jordan was full of constant surprises. I loved how Daisy was the wallflower with so much depth. I could not put down this book, because I was so invested. I loved all the emotions it brought out in me. Watching Daisy and Jordan make questionable decisions on their road to HEA was beyond entertaining. Jenshak does such an amazing job at writing new adult characters that are learning about themselves while navigating all the new situations and relationships they find themselves in. She is one of my absolute favorite authors in the college romance trope, but this one is definitely one of my most favorites. I’m so excited to see where she takes us with these new Valley U characters!

Wildcat by Rebecca Jenshak

5 STARS!

Release Date: December 14, 2021

SYNOPSIS: I met my dream girl.
That’s right. She’s stunning and the worst bartender I’ve ever seen.
I should have gone home and gone to sleep—dream girl or not. I had an early morning and the season was starting soon. But when she threatened me with boy band karaoke I couldn’t help myself. I went. The stars aligned.
I have never felt more alive or wanted anyone more than I want her.
When it’s time for me to head on my annual pre-season boys trip, I barely let her go.
It’s been a week and I can’t stop thinking about her.
Except there she is. Right here at the Wildcat’s kickoff party.
And as luck would have it, my dream girl is the coach’s youngest daughter.
But everyone knows the coach’s daughter is off limits. Right?

This is the last book in the CamWildcat is a full-length sports romance with a hot-as-puck hero, the coach’s daughter, and an unfortunate case of mistaken identity.

REVIEW: More Hockey Romance from Rebecca Jenshak, what more could we ask for? Seriously. Rebecca is the queen of layered, emotional, and amazing sports romances, and she has been killing it with these hockey boys! I love how this series came out of the campus nights series, because I was obsessed with those characters. It’s fun to see Maverick’s new team find love. Wildcat brought us all the great forbidden romance. This couple made mistakes and brought the angst! I sincerely loved their journey and was so happy with this ending. Not only was the couple awesome, but all the side characters (as always with Rebecca’s books) have me totally invested in this series. I cannot wait for each hockey players’ book!!

Wild Love by Rebecca Jenshak

5 STARS!

Release Date: October 26, 2021

SYNOPSIS: Johnny Maverick is a lot of things.
Great hockey player.
Loyal friend.
Rule breaker.
Always up for a good time.
And now, he’s my new roommate. It’s only for a few weeks while I intern for the Wildcats—his new NHL team. And there are some pros to living with my hot and ridiculous friend (or is that ridiculously hot?). He’s fun and unexpectedly sweet, and he reminds me not to take myself too seriously. I had no intention of breaking the one rule given to me on my first day on the job: no sleeping with the players. And if I had, I never dreamed that player would be Johnny Maverick.

This is the last book in the Campus Nights series!

REVIEW: THIS SERIES! I have honestly loved EVERY SINGLE BOOK in the Campus Nights series from Rebecca Jenshak. Each couple is so unique in their issues, but so real, and so good for each other. I’m not a huge fan of friends-to-lovers, but luckily it has some of my other favorites like forced proximity and secret relationship. Plus, I had to know Maverick’s story! I mean all the games of sardines, all the banter, I knew I was going to love these two. This book did not disappoint. I just had so many feelings, which is exactly what I want from a great romance. The thing about Rebecca‘s books is that while she can definitely have you laughing your butt off, she also covers the real issues that people deal with on differing levels. It makes me sincerely appreciate all of the characters. I don’t want to give much more away, so I’m going to leave it at that, but honestly, you need to read this whole series!!

Broken Hearts by Rebecca Jenshak

5 STARS!

Release Date: July 13, 2021

SYNOPSIS: She’s a figure skater. He’s a hockey player. Things are about to heat up on the ice. Rhett Rauthruss is single for the first time in six years. He’s fresh off a long-term, long-distance relationship and ready to make the most of what’s left of college.
Party with his boys, get to the Frozen Four with his team, and maybe play the field for a change. Sienna Hale knows a thing or two about heartbreak. She’s a college athlete about to skate for the last time, and nothing is going to throw her off course. Not her worries about finding a job after college, not the whispers of last year’s accident on the ice, and not the cute hockey player who keeps asking her out. They think they want different things, but when it heats up between them, there’s no denying they have something in common–even if it’s just for a night.

This is Book 3 in the Campus Nights series!

REVIEW: THIS SERIES! I have honestly loved EVERY SINGLE BOOK in the Campus Nights series from Rebecca Jenshak. Each couple is so unique in their issues, but so real, and so good for each other. Rhett and Sienna are so stickin’ cute. Something I love about Rebecca Jenshak’s books is that I can be laughing my butt off in one chapter, and then clutching my heart with all the emotions I’m feeling in the next. And I do have to say the beginning this book had me laughing pretty hard! I’ve been so curious about Rhett this whole time because we met him in the previous books. He’s in this weird long distance relationship that isn’t a great one and the guys don’t exactly support. From what little glimpses we get of him, I also got this impression of him being a very sweet and loyal guy, but really getting him to know him in this book was so much better! The first interactions he has with Sienna are hilariously awful. But the progression of them together had me very, very invested. Sienna was a very interesting character, because we get to see her later on in her growth where she has a great maturity and handle on her situation. Everything she’s dealt with, and is still currently dealing with health-wise, really made her fascinating. We don’t get to see her growth as much, but she still pulls you into the story. I also really enjoyed her friendship with Silas. What the friendship is built on and how they were there for each other in a way only they could was heartwarming. Silas has one of the quotes that I love the most:

“Do you want to know what makes me and Sienna so close? What makes any two people close, I’d wager?” I don’t respond, but he keeps going. “Going through challenging shit together. Being vulnerable and letting the other person see all your fucked-up-ness…” There’s a little more, but I don’t want to spoil it anything!

It’s also really awesome to see the couples from the last two books! I think what I love the most about series that have standalone books is that you get the complete story in one book, but you get to revisit the characters throughout the other books. It makes me feel like there’s this group of people that you’re really invested in and you really want to see them get their happy ever afters! And not only do you get to see them get their happy ever after, you then get to see them living their happy ever after while their friends are on their own personal journey. Not only are the couple stories amazing, but also how the whole friend group is supportive of each other. They all experience major ups and downs, but their friends have their backs. The thing about Rebecca‘s books is that while she can definitely have you laughing your butt off, she also covers the real issues that people deal with on differing levels. Sometimes those issues are super emotional and you need the help of your friends and family to get through it. The characters in this one are just so great! I appreciate all of the side characters in different ways, and I’m definitely looking forward to learning more about Maverick and Dakota as the series continues!

5 STARS!

He’s my best friend’s brother.

My bad crush has gotten me in way over my head.

This is Book 2 in the Campus Nights series
and a Best Friend’s Brother, Friends to Lovers Romance!

REVIEW: This freaking series!! Holy crap. I mean I’m obsessed with this series. I love all of the characters. Rebecca Jenshak is just killing it with the depth and the connection between the characters. I really, really loved the first book, and now I really, really love this one. I sincerely enjoy the glimpses of the two main characters readers get to see in the first book, Secret Puck, and how that gave foundation of what the characters were like. Seeing them come together made a lot more sense with the background we get in book one about Adam. Getting to know Reagan was absolutely awesome, because while readers learn about her unrequited crush on Adam, we really don’t get to know much more about her. Just getting to know her more, seeing how amazing she is, the depth to her character, and her past experiences that have brought her to where she is made her utterly endearing. I also feel like I didn’t love Adam in the first book, but that totally changed as I got to know him as a character. How he responds to everything that happens with Reagan and the connection that was built with her were wonderful. There was never an interaction with them that I didn’t like. I think they both had a lot to figure out with all their own baggage coming into play, but I loved seeing them get their act together and find each other.

Another part of the series that’s so amazing is that all the characters are awesome. The side characters are so much fun. I honestly can’t wait until we get the other stories–Maverick, Dakota, and Rhett. I’m pretty excited to see what Rebecca Jenshak does with Maverick’s book, because he is wild but in the best way. And Dakota is a total spitfire. Rhett is next and it’s going to be interesting with the strange long-distance relationship that we’ve seen going on. I just need to know more about him, because from what I’ve seen he is an awesome boyfriend and deserves all happiness. July 13th can’t come soon enough!
