Rules for Dating Your Ex by Piper Rayne

5 STARS!

Release Date: September 1, 2020

SYNOPSIS: If your ex arrives in your hometown eighteen months after you walked out on him while you were eight months pregnant, follow this short list of rules before you give him a second chance.
Rule #1 – Don’t stand in the way of your brothers who want to rough him up.
Rule #2 – Don’t meet him for coffee and agree to allow him to meet your daughter.
Rule #3 – Don’t drool when your daughter falls asleep on his chest for the first time. It’s just your ovaries talking.
Rule #4 – Don’t let him hold your hand. While we’re at it, no hugs, no kisses on the cheek… just no physical contact in general. That only leads to remembering better times.
The last one is the most important…
Rule #5 – When you find yourself needing someone’s help and you’re tired of always asking your family, don’t let him be the one who’s there for you.
Because all those good qualities of his will suck you right back in and you’ll have no chance of fighting your feelings, especially now that he’s ready to be a father to your daughter.

Review: I cannot believe this is the last Bailey’s book. It makes me so happy and so sad at the same time. Haha. First, let’s talk about how amazing Lake Starlight and all the Bailey’s are. they may just be my most favorite fictional family. The loss and connections they share are so endearing. It’s also wonderful to see each Bailey come into their own. And let’s not forget the star of the show, Grandma Dori. She is the matchmaking queen behind the scenes and such a little spitfire. I love how meddlesome she is, seriously always adding a good laugh or a put-them-in-their-place talk. She is an element throughout these books that makes them that much better.

Okay, let’s get to Sedona. Something I sincerely appreciated about Sedona is how on the DL she is. She’s dealt with some drama and hurt, yet she’s not there stealing the show of her other siblings. We barely know about her, or her situation, until we get to the end of book 8. And even when we finally see all that she’s been through, she quietly perseveres. At the same time, she isn’t a pushover and seems to know herself really well. I just appreciated how she stayed true to herself throughout this book.

Oh Jamie and his naiveté. He has so much potential, and I loved finally getting to know him after the tiny glimpses we’ve gotten throughout the books. Seeing him interact with his daughter is the sweetest too. I thought Piper Rayne did a good job of portraying his alcoholism and how it continues to impact him. I feel like he had a lot of growth while him and Sedona were apart, but he also does a lot during this story. One thing about Jamie and Sedona as a couple that I absolutely love is their trust in each other, even after everything. This is a couple that is really just meant to be.

Rules for Dating Your Ex was the perfect ending to The Bailey’s Series. I am so thankful to have been able to read and review these books for Piper Rayne through Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is one of my top romance series of all time and I would definitely recommend it!

Release Date: January 28, 2019

Publisher: St. Martin’s Press

SYNOPSIS: Miranda Harris is known for her charm, wit, and ability to solve any problem she encounters. But when her brother lands neck-deep in gambling debt to a crafty villain and Miranda is subsequently blackmailed into marrying him, she must enlist the help of the devil himself to save the family honor―and herself.

Devilishly handsome Highlander Aden MacTaggert knows next to nothing about the ways of the ton, but he most certainly knows his way around gaming halls and women’s hearts. Still, Aden is not sure how he’ll manage to find a Sassenach bride in time to save his family’s inheritance. When his almost sister-in-law Miranda comes to him for assistance, he proposes a partnership: She will help him navigate London society and he’ll teach her everything about wagering…and winning back her freedom. The beautiful, clever lass intrigues Aden―but is she playing her own game, or are the sparks between them real? He is accustomed to risking his pocket. But betting on Miranda’s love is a game he can’t afford to lose. . .

REVIEW: This series. The MacTaggert Brothers. The strong female leads. I am in LOVE. Okay, so I may have wanted to smack Miranda for a good portion of the book, but I also understand why she was acting as she was. The banter between Aden and Miranda makes up for it. Aden just does it so well, it’s a push and pull in the best way. I was rooting for Aden to win over Miranda from the first time they met. The suspense, the chemistry, and the growth of the characters made me more invested in this story as it went on. We’ve gotten two brother’s stories, and I cannot wait to get the final one in the third book!

Confessions of a Naughty Nanny by Piper Rayne

5 STARS!

Release Date: January 7, 2019

SYNOPSIS

The Baileys are back with Phoenix & Griffin!

When a famous music producer moves to Lake Starlight it can’t just be a coincidence. It’s the universe helping to move things along in the right direction so that Griffin Thorne can discover me.

I have to confess—I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen.

Confession #1: I may have overhead that he was in search of a nanny. What can I say? My brother has a big mouth.

Confession #2: It’s possible I helped along the assumption that I had nanny experience. Hey, babysitting my nieces and nephew counts, right?

Confession #3: There’s a good chance I oversold my qualifications. But my Grandma Dori backed me up, so it’s not completely my fault.

And it worked. He hired me. Only for me to find out that he left the business.
I guess it’s on to Plan B.

When he accidentally overhears me singing, I expect nothing from him. Then he asks to work with me on a song for our town’s Founder’s Day Parade and it feels like a dream come true. Until…

Confession #4: I’ve fallen for him.

REVIEW

THE DAMN BAILEY’S.

Seriously, how am I supposed to ever find a book family again?! The Bailey’s have stolen my heart and I’m not getting it back. Phoenix: “the black sheep” of the family. I have needed to know what her HEA would be for a while now, and Piper Rayne did NOT disappoint. I mean, we have an inspiring singer, who happens to become the nanny for a famous music producer with a difficult son. Griffin’s son, Maverick, transforms in such a heartwarming way! He really added so much to the story. This whole story gave me all the damn feels. I can’t say enough, no I really an’t, because I’ll spoil all the fun! Let’s just say I love this book as much as the five before it, and I would DEFINITELY recommend it.

Operation Bailey Wedding by Piper Rayne

5 STARS!

Release Date: July 23, 2019

SYNOPSIS

No one could have guessed a marriage could sprout from a one-night stand, but Holly Radcliffe and Austin Bailey appear to be written in the stars. From the backseat of Austin’s Jeep to the altar they come. The town of Lake Starlight along with the Bailey’s are prepping for the event of the year, but as usual things never go smoothly with these nine siblings and let’s not forget Grandma Dori!

This is a novella in the Bailey series!

REVIEW

This series has been so much fun so far, and I love getting more of the Bailey family! Grandma Dori is a real gem, and I love her appearances. We get Holly and Austin’s meet-cute and story in Lessons from a One-Night Stand, the first book in the Bailey’s series, and it is so awesome to get to see their wedding in this novel. Of course this story contains shenanigans, sass, and all the wonderfulness that is the Bailey family! I am counting down the days until book 4: Falling for my Best Friend’s Brother (October 17th 2019). Don’t forget to visit the Lake Starlight Buzz Wheel for all the good gossip.

BP Step #6 – Don’t assume she’s there because she wants your daughter to call you Daddy. You’ll only end up disappointed.

Time to figure out a new plan-one that changes her mind.

REVIEW

I totally guessed what twin it would be, can you? First of all, I just love the Bailey’s so damn much! It has been such a fun journey seeing the first three find love. Each story is unique, but still connected by the strong sense of family all of the Bailey’s have. As the story developed between the two main characters and their daughter, I was totally enthralled. This one felt like a smoother ride than the previous two, but it wasn’t all that predictable. Plus, the Bailey Baby Daddy was amazing, and oh so dumb at times, but this added to the depth of his character. I don’t want to spoil a second of this book for any of you, but let’s just say I really loved meeting the eccentric B&B owner! She’s hilarious and wonderful. I’m so very excited for the rest of the Bailey’s love story.
