SYNOPSIS: Roman Steele learned a hard lesson about trusting others. While serving his country, he put his faith in the wrong person and lost a leg for his loyalty. So far, civilian life suits him — as long as he doesn’t have to deal with anyone. But when he’s called in to investigate a break-in at a high-security lab, he finds himself butting heads with the lead virologist, a woman as infuriating as she is beautiful. When criminals break into Isabel Santiago’s lab and steal a deadly virus, she’s desperate to find the culprits before they turn her research into a weapon. But first, she must put her trust in the brooding security expert who sees danger around every corner. As she and Roman race to track down the culprits, these two unlikely partners find there’s more at stake for them than they ever imagined possible — but only if they stop the enemy in time.
REVIEW: I have been enjoying this romantic suspense series so much. I love the overarching plot with the guys running their own private security company and the women who challenge them. Roman is the epitome of a broody hero and I’ve been waiting for his story since I met him in the first book. And he definitely was the grumpy wonder that I was waiting for. Isa was just such a good match. I love how she stood up for herself. Plus, who doesn’t love a smart and strong woman?! The chemistry between them was great. Throw in the suspense and action and you have quite the entertaining read. I would definitely recommend this whole series!

April Hunt blames her incurable chocolate addiction on growing up in rural Pennsylvania, way too close to America’s chocolate capital, Hershey. She now lives in Virginia with her college sweetheart husband, two young children, and a cat who thinks she’s a human-dog hybrid. On those rare occasions she’s not donning the cape of her children’s personal chauffer, April’s either planning, plotting, or writing about her next alpha hero and the woman he never knew he needed, but now can’t live without…
SYNOPSIS: Dr. Presley Baskin has always lived a quiet, calm life. Unfortunately, nothing about her life in Loveless, Texas — especially not the wild, rowdy, and impossibly close-knit Lawton family who’ve claimed her — is quiet or calm. Which is how loner Presley finds herself roped into patching up local bad boy Shot Caldwell against her better judgment. Presley wants nothing to do with the dangerous, brooding leader of the local outlaw motorcycle club. But when someone starts stalking her, Shot is the only person she trusts to help. Plus he owes her one . . . Palmer ‘Shot’ Caldwell has always known his life isn’t made for relationships. At least until shy, secretive, Presley reluctantly pulled a bullet out of him. He’s oddly protective of the pretty doctor, so when she comes to him for help, hard-hearted Shot suddenly realizes there’s nothing he wouldn’t do to keep her safe.
Review: I cannot believe Jay Crownover’s Loveless, Texas series has come to an end! I have to say Justified (book 1) was so damn good and got me completely invested in this world. It has been an awesome journey seeing what happens to the Lawton family. When I met Shot and Presley in Unforgiven, I was pretty intrigued by them and was extremely excited for their story! Shot’s attraction to Presely was also fun to experience. I think their story was a little different than I was expecting. And I’m usually okay with the whole sibling’s ex thing, but the way a couple of things happened in this story just didn’t work for me. Obviously, these are very personal preferences and might not be an issue for you at all. It was still great to see more of the overarching story and figure out what happened. I enjoyed the series as a whole and I’m so glad I found it. Do yourself a favor and dive into Loveless, Texas for some romantic suspense with sexy cowboys and sassy heroines!

Synopsis: School psychologists aren’t supposed to write books about sex. Lucky for you, ethics was never my strong suit.
After spending years trying to spice up my sex life, I gave up and took to my journal. Perhaps my gorgeous number-crunching husband simply wasn’t capable of the kind of passion I’d come to expect from my tattooed and testosterone-fueled ex-boyfriends. If I couldn’t have that kind of passion again in real life, I could at least write about it. Right? Nobody had to know. It would be my little secret.
Well, guess what? My husband found my journal.
And guess what else? He upped his game.
Soon I began testing the limits-crafting journal entries specifically designed to influence Ken’s behavior. For the most part, he responded beautifully…except for when he didn’t. And then I got the surprise of my life.
Synopsis: Emily can’t remember the last time she left the house. Or spoke to anyone besides her grandmother, beloved children’s author Catriona Robinson. After Catriona’s death, Emily is at a complete loss . . . until she gets an unexpected letter from the woman she loved most.
Catriona has revealed there might be one last, lost unpublished manuscript in her wildly popular book series. And she’s left a secret diary and trail of clues that only Emily can follow. From London to Paris to Verona, Emily traces her grandmother’s past, finding out more about her family — and herself — than she ever imagined possible.

Derek Hartz arrives in town with a teenage daughter-and he’s full of guilt over his failed marriage and the way he ended his friendship with Teagan. He’s determined to set things right with her, but first he needs to gain her trust, something he’s not convinced he deserves.
As Teagan and Derek open up to each other-and confess their deepest secrets-it’s impossible for them to deny what’s always been between them. But just when their happily ever after is within reach, their complicated history surfaces again and threatens to keep them apart. Forever.
REVIEW: Tragic-second-chance-romance anyone? Wow, these two high school besties royally screwed things up and you may even go into this wondering how they could ever have a HEA. This book actually made me think what it must have been like to be parents, or close friends of these two, and be on the outside looking in. I would have gone crazy wanting to intervene and push them together. Their journey is riddled with heartbreak, but man a journey it is. Corinna Michaels does romance in way that sucks me right end, from beginning to end, and this was no different. I would definitely recommend this one!

Following the sudden death of his wife, Nathan Bell has spent nearly two years burying himself in work and neglecting his biggest responsibility: his daughter. Overcome with guilt, he wants to connect with little Marley, but he doesn’t know how to do it alone. And then Jenna Savage throws him a lifeline.
A single mom of twins, Jenna is more than capable of taking care of Nate’s adorable two-year-old, and wants to help Nathan however she can. Soon, attachments are made, forcing Jenna and her kids into new territory. And the closer everyone becomes, the more right it feels.
Falling in love forces Nathan to face his biggest fear, and when hearts, both big and little, are on the line, the only thing scarier than needing someone is losing them all.
This damn book. I loved every moment of it. Single parent romances are just so heartwarming, and this one even more so.
J. Daniels does such a good job at actually making the children characters that fuel the story. I fell in love with the kids, which made me so much more invested in the main characters and the interactions they had with each other’s children. It was impossible to not to feel for Nathan. And Jenna is just what he needs. There are some ups and downs, but not over the top drama which I also appreciated. I’m so very happy I picked this one up, and now I’m going to add the previous books in the Dirty Deeds series to my TBR!
