Mine to Hold By Natasha Madison

Release Date: July 29, 2022

SYNOPSIS: Shelby – I got a love letter the night before I was supposed to marry the love of my life. Except the letter wasn’t for me. My future husband had written it to someone else.
Weston (Ace) – Standing at the altar to watch my best friend get married was an honor. Finding out that he was sleeping with my girlfriend was a nightmare. Everything I knew was a lie. When the opportunity came to get out of town and leave my ex behind, I took it. Umbrella drinks and broken hearts don’t mix well. I shouldn’t want Shelby for myself – but I do. I want her more than I’ve ever wanted anyone. Maybe, she was just mine to hold.

Review: This one was super cute! I love the chemistry between these two and the awareness between them when they’re on the trip together. I just loved how much they loved each other without really knowing it. Some thing I sincerely enjoy in a romance is when a guy is all in, and Ace was all in. The little bumps in the road added to the story, but the ending was absolutely perfect.

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

Be With Me by Samantha Young

Release Date: July 11, 2022

SYNOPSIS: It was the friends-with-benefits proposition he never saw coming… While Arran Adair might have followed the call of wanderlust in his younger years, it isn’t the reason he stayed away from Ardnoch. Home now, desperate to put the sins of his past behind him, and rebuild his life in the Scottish Highlands, Arran could never have predicted Eredine Willows. The Ardnoch Estate Pilates instructor is a complicated mystery and one Arran can’t help but want to solve. Eredine has spent the last eight years hiding in Scotland and building walls between her and the people she cares about. Arran is the first Adair who doesn’t treat her as if she’s fragile and demands a genuine friendship. Yet, the attraction sizzling between them is undeniable. So when she realizes she trusts him, Eredine surprises them both by offering Arran one night of no-strings passion. Arran knows one night will inevitably lead to a desire for more and he’s willing to stay by Eredine’s side for as long as it takes to convince her there’s something real between them. However, just when Arran thinks they might build a future together, Eredine’s past returns to stalk her. And Arran won’t just have to battle her demons to keep them together. He’ll need to battle his own.

REVIEW: Oh this one was good! I love a man that is all in when it comes to the woman they want to be with. Eredine has major hold-ups and for good reason, but man did I want her to figure her issues out. Arran is total book boyfriend material. AND THAT CHEMISTRY!!! Seriously, when we finally get the steamy scene, I didn’t know how Ery held anything back from Arran after that. It was so interesting finally learning why he stayed away from the family, and seeing the impact this event had on him. There were times I didn’t love how they handled things, but in a way that made the story more realistic. I kind of figures some of the mystery out, but with the way Samantha Young writes, that doesn’t take away from the storyline!!

My Scorned Best Friend by Piper Rayne

5 Stars

Release Date: July 12, 2022

Synopsis: Xavier and Clara kissing in a tree… When your best friend growing up is a girl, that’s the song your classmates taunt you with over and over again. But it was never like that… until now. It’s always been Clara and me. She’s the only one who truly knows me. After I was drafted into the NFL and ended up the starting quarterback for the San Francisco Kingsmen, I begged her to come with me. But she had her own life and responsibilities back in our small Alaskan town, so I didn’t fault her for staying. We remained the best of friends despite the distance. I’d hang with her in Alaska during the off season, and she’d visit me in California while I was playing. Then, one night the lines blurred for the briefest of moments and set in motion a series of events that changed everything. I’m not proud of the decisions I made after that fateful night, and I plan on making amends, because I need Clara back in my life. But not as my best friend—as my everything.

REVIEW: This one was so freaking cute! It made me feel the same way I felt when I first started the Baileys series. Which made me fall in love with Piper Rayne’s books. As readers get to see these two best friends throughout the series, you know they’re meant to be. They both have experienced loss, but have handled it in very different ways. It was so interesting to get to know Xavier more, and see his vulnerability. Clara is just a wonderful character! I hated that these two were not in a great place at beginning of this book, but I was so very happy as the book progressed. There were so many heartwarming moments, and it just gave me all the happy feelings I wanted. I also love how we get to see the other Greenes pop in from the previous books, not to mention some Bailey’s here and there. Plus, Ethel and Dori make their usual hilarious appearance There’s only a couple Greenes left, and I’m excited to see what happens to them! I sincerely love the Greenes and it’s so awesome that you can start with the parents’ story (Hank and Marla) in My Twist of Fortune!

Thank you so much to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

Be Your Anything by Jillian Liota

Release Date: October 15, 2019

SYNOPSIS: Lennon Day is a problem. She was supposed to be a one-time diversion, a friend that temporarily soothed the desires raging under the surface. Now we can’t keep our hands to ourselves, playing a game that we’re both going to lose. I thought I liked my life how it was. I wasn’t expecting for anything to change, for my priorities to ebb and flow like a wave. And now I’m worried everything is going to crash down around me. And that she might be the one who gets lost in the storm.
Lucas Pearson is a problem. He’s handsome, charming, my childhood crush… and unfortunately, not completely available. When I moved back to Hermosa Beach to work for my family’s foundation, I wasn’t expecting anything to happen. But it did. Now, we collide like magnets, finding each other in the night to satisfy the urges we can’t seem to escape. It’s supposed to be casual. No strings. Emotion-free. And definitely a secret. So what’s the problem? I’ll be anything for him… even if I lose myself in the process.
Welcome to Hermosa Beach

Be Your Anything is the second book in the Hermosa Beach Series.
It is highly recommended that all books in the series be read in order as they contain significant spoilers and interwoven storylines.
The first book in the series is called Promise Me Nothing

REVIEW: Wow, what a freaking journey these characters went on together. Seeing Lucas as Hannah‘s brother in the first book, Promise Me Nothing, gave me a sense that he was a decent guy, but maybe needed to kind of figure out his own shit. We also get to see Lennon in the first book as well, and I didn’t really know what to think of her, but I didn’t really like her. There were definitely some super spicy scenes in this one! Getting those scenes paired with the flashbacks to their friendship when they were younger really made me invested in them as a couple, yet the open relationship Luke was in made me have very mixed feelings. Something that I find really moving about Jillian Liota’s books is that the characters really go through a transformation and come to realizations about things in a way that I wish most people would. It’s not that they don’t make mistakes, they do and they really stop to think about their actions and how they impact other people around them. The journeys, plus the romance and steamy scenes, is one of the reasons I think Jillian Liota is one of the most underrated romance authors I’ve read in a long time. This book plot is not a usual one I would pick up, but because of the author I did. And because of the author I absolutely loved it and enjoyed the depth of the characters, their growth, and that ending! It was wonderful and set us up for the next book in a way that I am going to start book 3 right now. Even though it’s late at night, and I probably shouldn’t do that. Obviously, I recommend you read this series!!

Serves Me Wright by K.A. Linde

Release Date: July 20, 2021

SYNOPSIS: I never thought I’d say yes to a fake date. Let alone with Julian Wright. But I’m stuck attending my perfect brother’s doctoral graduation, and I can’t suffer through another round of parental disappointment. Julian has to go to a charity function he planned with his ex-girlfriend. We both need a date. Yes, we shared one kiss in a darkened office to make his ex jealous. But it wasn’t real. Was it? I’m sure I can get through this. Until we get to the house and there’s only one bed. I’ve pined for Julian for three long years. More than my body is on the line…I need to guard my heart. Because if I get hurt in our fake relationship, then it serves me Wright.

A new stand alone fake relationship romance set in the world of the Wrights from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde.

REVIEW: Yes, yes, yes, this was definitely everything I wanted it to be! I’m so happy that K.A. Linde revisited the Wright series with A Wright Christmas at the end of last year! These new characters have been wonderful l to read about. I had a feeling that Jenn was going to be a really great female character from what we’ve seen of her in the last couple books, but she even exceeded my expectations! I like the realistic portrayal of the mental health condition she’s dealing with and how it plays out in different situations. I also appreciated the different family dynamics for both Jennifer and Julian. These dynamics play a part in who they are and how they interact with others. After everything that happened with Ashleigh in the last book I had a feeling she would be a little bit of a problem for Julian and Jennifer in this one as well. It was nice to see Jennifer grow and come more into herself while dealing with the Ashleigh throughout the story. Jennifer was just so relatable in many ways, even with the things about her that I didn’t connect with at all. There were just so many parts with her where I just sat there and said “yep, haven’t we all felt this way!” I think what I really loved too, is the connection between these two from the very beginning and how that is stable throughout the book even when things happen to throw them off course. I’m really excited to see what we get in the next Wright book, Wright Rival!
