SYNOPSIS: Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again. Until years later when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help. The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it’s all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he’s got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she’ll help him train for a world championship fight. Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He’s steadfast. He’s determined. And he won’t stop fighting until he’s won her heart.
REVIEW: In the previous book when we get the opening scene of this book, which is Talia avoiding Foster when he comes to Quincy. Right then, I had a feeling I would be totally intrigued by this one. Foster and Talia were all the angsty goodness. This story has so much depth and heartbreak and joy and everything in between. I loved the way Foster loved Talia. I love the way Talia loved foster. These two have had a difficult road, but I wanted happiness for them both so much. Each time they got a couple steps forward, they’d get hit with something that pushed them right back, but I still kept rooting for them. I sincerely enjoyed this entire story. I don’t want to give too much detail, because I really think that with everything that happens it’s important for the reader to just experience it as they go. Plus, I absolutely hate spoilers. Just know that this is an intense roller coaster ride of emotions, and you’ll definitely want to stick with it to find out what happens.
Also that ending!! I love when Devney Perry sets us up for the next book, and while I already have known the synopsis of the next book, and knew I was really excited for it, I also love the little part for Lyla in the end. I am now counting down the days until we get her book which hopefully will be after the next one.
After meeting each Eden sibling in Indigo Ridge, but not learning a whole lot, I was so ready for all the books in this series. I’m so fascinated by them, and cannot wait to see what happens to each of them in this series. Not to mention these covers?! Yes, I most definitely purchased the paperbacks!!
Thank you to Valentine PR and Devney Perry for an eARC in exchange for an honest review!
