But nothing can happen between us because Frankie comes with Jolie, her young daughter, and a crap load of baggage from her ex. And those are two things I never entertain. Anyone who knows me—the screwed up foster kid from the wrong side of the tracks—knows I’m not the guy you take home to meet your parents, let alone your kid. But I also know what it’s like not to have parents, so things get complicated when Jolie asks me to be her daddy. I might as well just slash my own tires now.

Review: What a perfect ending to the Rooftop Crew series. When readers first got a glimpse of Jax in the Rival Roomies, which happens to be one of my favorites, he almost stole the show from Rian and Dylan! I just knew his HEA was going to be a good story. It was really amazing to see him and Frankie during this one, especially because of the build up in previous books. There’s something really heartwarming about people that have been through really difficult times finding support and care from the people around them. The whole Rooftop Crew takes Frankie and Jolie in, just like they did with Jax when he first appeared on the scene. It’s just a really great group of friends that’s so supporting and loving. I think that is what makes this whole series! The whole crew is just so much fun–even when they mess up, they’re all trying to support each other and push each other in the best way.

One thing I really appreciated about this book specifically is that although both characters have definitely dealt with some trauma, and it’s impacted who they are as adults, there wasn’t a huge overdramatic scene. A lot of times in these types of books, I’m waiting for some huge ridiculous misunderstanding that is going to make me irritated, but that really didn’t happen with this one. It was the perfect amount of mistakes and growth for each character. They’re both just navigating what life has thrown at them, and when things happens towards the ends with Jax, it’s very realistic. The way he handles it all, I admired it, and that’s what makes me really happy. The lack of super-over-the-top drama is what made the story so much better it. It was just very true to the characters and how they’ve grown.

If you can’t tell I’ve absolutely love this series! I tend to love Piper Rayne books in general, but this series just got me! I think it’s just the support that the group offers each other that really won me over. I’m definitely looking forward to Piper Rayne’s Hockey Hotties series and I’m pretty sure we met one of the characters in this book–Frankie‘s cousin Aiden, but we shall see!

REVIEW: I did not go into this book feeling like I knew what was going to happen. From what we’ve seen of Knox and Leilani in the previous Rooftop Crew Series, I had no idea what their relationship really entailed. Knox keeps it close to the vest so you don’t really get to know him that well in the previous books, but this book ended up being more than I could have imagined! I love where Piper Rayne took this. Both of the characters were fantastic and seeing them come together, despite the other things that are they’re dealing with, was so satisfying. Their past experiences in life have definitely left a mark and are impacting what they’ve been going through as adults. There was just a lot of depth and I really loved getting to know Knox!

As always the Rooftop Crew always brings such a fun and happy element to the books. They’re just such a strong group of friends that support each other, are super kind, and are just trying to do the best for themselves in life. I love how the women in this group get together and support each other. They are the female friends we all wish we had. They’ve had some struggles, but they own them and persevere. They are working hard to go after their dreams and I love it. Next up is Jax and Frankie, and with her daughter Jolie’s Christmas wish to Santa at the end of this book, we all know it’s going to be a great story. I cannot wait to get into Jax’s mind!!

As usual, I didn’t think things through. Turns out our parents have a lot of demands neither one of us expected. And all those demands lead to things feeling more real than fake.

REVIEW: This relationship was just so sweet and cute and wonderful! Yes, I needed all of those words to describe how I’m feeling as I finish this adorable book. Even though I knew drama was coming, I think the way it happened was so perfect for the story and not over the top. Piper Rayne wrote this journey in the perfect way. Seth was always the funny character in the first few books, and getting his backstory of why he’s always the comedic relief really adds to him as a male lead. I did kind of want to smack some sense into him, because it took him so damn long to figure out his feelings. BUT once he knew, he knew. And I love nothing better than a man determined to get his lady! Plus, the little flashbacks to when they were younger were so perfect. I fell in love with them even more as I learned about their friendship as children.

Evan is such a wonderful character. She’s so very strong and caring. The way she puts everyone in her family first just shows what a considerate person she is. I did kind of wonder how she even ended up with Brock in the first place, because they don’t match up at all in my mind. Luckily it does get explained, and it made me that much more happy that she ended up with Seth. Her and Seth are just so perfect for each other! Something I really do love about the series in general is the Rooftop crew itself. This group of friends is just so awesome. Each character brings so much to the group and each story. I love seeing the couples we already know about and the couples that are coming in the rest of the series, because they’re just so fun. The Newlywed Game scene is HILARIOUS. It’s something I do love about Piper Rayne’s books, you’re laughing, but you’re also clutching as your heart. And the deep roots of the two leads in this one made me feel all the feels! I can’t wait to see how the rest of this series unfolds!

REVIEW

I had VERY HIGH expectations for this book, and Piper Rayne exceeded them all! THIS BOOK WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE!!! First of all, the build up in the first two books made me so freakin’ excited for this one. I love the whole unrequited love between friends that isn’t actually unrequited. Their journey and self-growth just makes the story so rich. Getting more background on Dylan, Knox, and the newbie Jax had me rooting for Dylan even more and really understanding him. Plus, now I can’t wait for Jax and Knox to get their HEAs and I think I might just know who Jax ends up with!

Okay, now let’s talk about the AMAZING Rian. She writes math books for living. I love this for some reason and just want to be friends with her. Her parents are something else, and you really learn about their impact on her in this one. The way she cares about Dylan gave me all the feels. Her and Dylan may come from different backgrounds, but they have so much more in common than they know. Their back stories just made them so endearing and I needed them to get their HEA. Alright, I could seriously go on all day, but I don’t want to give anything away. Let’s just say, I would 100% recommend this series in general, but especially this book!!
